Some lad one of my mates works with had his Corsa C 1.4 Twinport nicked the other day. They allegedly broke the front windscreen (not side window ) and steering lock and then wheeled it onto a lorry I couldn't stop laughing when he told me and the guy allegedly has this on CCTV as it was done outside his house in a quiet close What gets me is why they would go to so much trouble to nice a STANDARD Corsa C and not some flash motor.

smashed the windscreen, would take some doing.

You would of thought for a well organised (with a lorry!) gang they would know how to nick a car properly. Even finding one thats not on CCTV and without a steering lock!!

it has a sticky back plastic (obviously not actually that!) type covering that stops it from shattering, so it may smash it but its still hard work to get into it!

Anyone who knows what they are doing can have most cars away in a matter of minutes.

My dads a bailiff and if someone is being awkward and not giving the keys he simply winches it onto the back of his slide bed lorry and takes it away. When he has a little more time, he uses a small airbag that can be infated in the door seem to prise to door open enough to get to the latch, this can be done without damaging the door or lock and leave no trace of whats gone on.l

Like the man from the AA does when I'm clever enough to lock my keys in my car.

Perhaps they had already broken in when they attempted to get the steering lock off and hit the windscreen with it.

The front windscreen would be virtually impossible to get through.
