Has anyone used a smooth tailgate panel and would they recommend one or would they stick to the old school method of welding a plate on.

DO NOT USE PANELS
when britain finally gets some warm days you will find that fibre glass expands at a different speed to metal - point being the panel splits cracks and removes itself from the metal even if at first it appears to be a mint job
found this out from experience as my fibreglass boot panel detached itself along the edges one day and it was a pain in da arse to detach the rest of the panel an sort it out

mines been on ages only just got slight crack from stupid bass and no soundproofing cost me 30 quid last time to fix
