just wondering how to wire up tweeters up in my car, as i changed what i thought where standard door speakers to better speakers who ever had the car before me butchered the standard wiring. Basicaly the tweeters where connected to the speaker terminals then there was speaker wire soldered to the speakers and then soldered half way up the original blue and brown wire in the car. easily sorted problem but was wonering how the tweeters are connected to work as he left alpine ones in there

you need a crossover. its a small box, which can be fitted anywhere. on the box you fit the wires for the door speakers and another for the tweeters. this gives the tweeters a better sound. most good tweeters come with a crossover box in the pack. have a look round the net for these, i dont think they cost much.
