Thought I'd ask on here because people on here tend to know what there on about more, generally.

Will I see much gain on a saxo vtr with just a 4-2-1 manifold. Bearing in mine, it will also act as a de-cat pipe, due to the cat being on the manifold.
Note: this will be the 1st mod on a completely standard engine.

Cheers ppl

put mine on my car on tuesday , sounds better , and there is a noticeable gain just on its own , tends to overcome flat spots and feels smoother when you have your foot to the floor . hope to feel more gain when i add my inlet too . however i would imagine they respond differently to various engines , hard to say what it would be like on a vtr . id say go for it though , cerainly a good starting point mate .

they aren't stupidly loud are they? I've got sick of loud cars now.

(Is it possible to have a quiet tuned car? )

no mate not loud , however , if your looking for the quieter option go for a mild steel one rather than a stainless steel one . janspeed do these for about 200 quid and are highly recommended . they do give a more tuned sound and you will probly find that in some cases , like mine for eg , it goes slighly quieter as your replacing the manifold gasket , which if the seal has gone slightly , could be causing the exhaust to blow making it louder .

Well yea, but you have to start somewhere. Others are planned, just looking where to start.
