If the neutral line has gone mega wobbly, worse than normal possibly just gear linkage. Could be clutch also if its struggling to go into gear.

it could be that the linkage is worn. Is the bite on the clutch close to the floor or close to the end the of the clutch travel when you take your foot off. Also have you checked the level of clutch fluid on the side of the gear box and is there any leakage of clutch fluid.

When you are driving forwards does it sound like you are in reverse. If so could be the synchromesh.

id try resetting it first... if that dont work... get down to the scrapp and wip one off another corsa... there all the same...

then if that dont work you need to start looking at the clutch...

you can check the level of the gearbox oil. on the side of the gearbox ( next to the passenger side wheel). There is a allen key bolt. When you remove this, a small trickle of gearbox oil should come out, if it doesn't, you need to top it up at the top of the gearbox.
