ive done a search on this topic but still struggling to find the full answer.....

ive got a set of dials from a 1.6 sport which im putting into my gf's '97 1.2i 8v.

ive read about a 'pea green' wire that needs to be connected.......... where is this wire and where does it need to go??????

all help is required asap

the wire shud be already there in the loom
plug them in and see what happens

on a 1.2 8v the wire is not on the plug. It is located going into the ecu in the footwell of the driver on the right. You will need to cut the pea green wire and wire it direct to the plug for the speedo. Thats what i had to do to mine anyway

i may be being stupid here but which location in the speedo plug does the green wire go?

i have just looked in the engine bay at the plug shown in the above link and there is no green wire there? help lol

the green wire is near the ecu mate, get a multi metre on it and it will go mental when you earth it(pulsing)
be careful before you go cutting all sorts though as i found a few green wires that did this but caused the tacho not to work properly. as far as i can remember it is in a block of about six wires not the main block that goes into the ecu. couldnt find any sort of pulse wire in the engine bay at all.

sorry, cant help on that, I used a 52mm gauge monuted in one of the vents rather than new dials.
Try the link in the post by Siberia though, and try to work it out from his pic of the plug.
