Would it be more straightforward buying a rev counter and connecting it up , instead of replacing the clocks as a whole ?
Cheers

probably the clocsk, as you'd have to get them out to wire the rev counter up properly anyway

im guessing u have no rev counter now? easiest thing would be to get some clocks out of an SRi or GSi etc with a rev counter and a cable speedo, and they SHOULD just plug in

hmm a rev counter in the dash would look good done properly i think.
Too much hassle getting a set of clocks with incorrect mileage etc

If you get a set of cable driven clocks with rev counter from an early SRi or GSi, you can use an electric drill to add or subtract mileage til it matches yours.

but thats illegal and wrong ash
just get as set of dials with similar mileage, or stop worrying about it and put up with having the wrong reading

I didnt bother as the clocks I had were only 2k more than mine.
Are you saying that if your car had done 80k, and you had a set of clocks reading 60k, it would be ok to fit them without setting the clocks to the right mileage? I doubt it.
Works both ways you see.
