sorry not sure on the engine code,

just wondering if that vauxhall engine fitted to mk4 astra, is it twin port with variable inlet or something a better engine then the trusty old C16XE engine?

do they make better engines/ more powerful

nah, the 1.6 16v from the corsa is better.

c16xe is one of the best engines vaux made, it was designed by lotus and can be tuned to 200+ bhp. 150 is quite easily achievable.

the twinport engine is gay, head is restrictive to make it more economical, the C16 was far better, and the X16 is almost as good

chris, i made 130bhp from a chipped ecu, full decatted 2.25"system, lexmaul inlet, pipercross viper and a 4 branch manifold

125 from a filter and an exhaust isnt gonna happen, 112 maybe.

GSi had the c16xe up to a certain point (the very late ones had x16xes, as do Sports)
