not road legal, as windows need to be breakable in case of emergency

you 'can' technically fit them to the rears of a 3-door though, as corsa-b vans have solid windows on side rears, and also some people fit bars/mesh to rear window for security reasons

tbh tho the law is actually quite vague in this area, but they are gona be clamping down quite a bit lately.

The arguement some guy on rallyeregister has was that in the msa blue book they are suggested as regulations in stage rally and track cars where generally these are considered road legal.

Anyone have fronts fitted?

2005 Blue book regs dont allow them

2006 blue book regs do

broster is considering them, at the end of the day, if you need to get out, they'll braek if you need them to

Can't see why they're not road legal
Got them fitted in mt nova and i've never had any bother from the mot or old bill (well not cause of the windows anyway :lol

4mm Perspex or Polycarbonate windows are road legal for replacing all but the front windscreen. The front MUST stay laminated (unless your car is old enough to have a non-laminated windscreen).

I wouldnt advise fitting them to a road car though, they are easily bent into the car, making your car very easy to get access to and potentially steal.

There are a lot easier/cheaper ways to reduce weight before the windows.

Depends on how you mount them. A lot of people rivet the windows in - not thinking how they'll get out if the door should be jammed shut.
