Hi,
I am in USA at the moment and am considering buying a PSP.
Would it work in UK? obviously the charging lead would be different so would just buy either an adaptor or a UK lead. But I mean are they subject to regions like DVDs are?

i believe they are mate  The only ones that i know of that are multi-region are the white ones (jap specials) as i was going to get one, but sony stopped exporting them from japan. So if you get your hands on one these your sorted, otherwise im not sure what the options are - apart from homebrewing etc

Aye the videos will be no doubt have regions.
Does anybody buy them anyway lol.
Best buy or walmart stopped selling them recently.

So the PSP itself will work with UK games etc?

yeah psp will work with any region games, umd's will not.

most UMD's are region 0, which means they will work on any PSP.
As for the comment about the PS3 being region free. Its the sofware thats region locked not the machine, it will be locked, but somegames, like the 360 wount be locked

friend of mine bought an american PSP
UK games would not work on it
I got a Jap one (Region 2)
works perfectly in the uk!
