this VAG 20v turbo gets in a lot of cars and has a couple of different power outputs, but i was wondering whats the difference between the 150 bhp, 180 bhp and the 225bhp. Are the internals the same or is there big improvents in them. sorry if this is a dumb question i'm just curious.

Boring to look at, boring to drive and expensive to fix if they go wrong.

150 and 180 nothing, jjust a different map, HOWEVER, some 150bhp VAG cars such as the ibiza cupra had a less powerful turbo, the K03.
the golf 150bhp and 180bhp units have the k03S turbos.
The 225 has the K04 turbo which is bigger, twin intercoolers, lower compression head etc etc

yes your right, parts are the same, labour costs are not though, for instance

VW = £300
Skoda = £130

all depends where u get remap!
jabba will get you 220ish without anything else other than the remap.
revo will get you about 210 with nothing else other than the remap, if you get the other things you suggested you can go for revo stage two which is only like £50 more and that will get you about 235bhp

Vauxhall HT leads are so expensive because they are top notch.

whats so top notch about them? HT leads are HT leads, they supply electricity to supply a spark, there is no such thing as top notch HT leads, thats why so called performance ones do generally bugger all.
Id rather spend 15 quid of halfords ones and risk them fucking up quicker then vauxhall ones and possibly have to fork out another 15 quid a year down the line then 130 quid on vauxhall ones
TBH
