i have just recently replaced my 1.4 16v (R reg 98) engine with a earlier 1.6 16v from a gsi, the problem is that i have used the 1.4 gear box which has an electronic speedo, which the wiring for this ran through the engine loom on the 1.4 but because i have put the 1.6 gsi engine in this origionally had a cable drive speedo so the wires arn't there for the electronic... any idea's on how to get this working without changing the gear box?

Fit a manual sender into the box, or fit electronic clocks.
If the later then black= live
brown = earth
red/blue = speed signal

it already has electronic clocks... any other idea's?
