I recently had car (1.4 16v Sport) lowered. Now I would like to know whether it is worth putting a strut brace on? Will it make any difference...I've read that it improves handling but will it be same on a 1.4?
Also what is the difference between a non-adjustable and an adjustable one? what difference this makes too?

It's debatable wether a strut brace will aid or hinder your car's handling. Fitting a strut brace can tighten thing's up quite considerably. By fitting strut brace's to the front and rear of the car you are causing the car to twist/flex as it is moving around the strut braces, instead of freely with the suspension.

Personally i would'nt. Spend your money on a good suspension set up.
Can't help you about the adjustment though, sorry.

a bit of flexing is good sometimes...
if the car is to be used on flat good surfaces yes, stiffen it up with braces

may I ask what the flexing stuff is all about?

Instead of the suspension moving freely the strut brace restict's the movement. So if one side goe's down, the other is likely to follow suit. Hence the flex. Adam may be able to explain better.

yup....
ther brace will try to keep the chassis flat, which sometimes increases understeer, liftoff oversteer... esp in the wet.
a bit of flex helps keep the wheels in contact with the grippy stuff.
I have more confidence in a standard KA, than i do in my corsa in the wet

i've just fitted one to my corsa, but its gone be used for road rallies, with a few off road stages. think a strut brace will be helpul?

I would put £100 on that my corsa would be no faster round a track with one on it. going faster round bends relys on grip, a strut brace wont help that.
get a decent suspension setup and ther is no need for them.

i had a strut brace on my lil 1.4 GLS and it made a huge difference to its handeling, i drive down to basingstoke almost every weekend to see me misses and theres a bend there called the cork screw can only safely do 60 round there without it on with it on i was doing 70 shame i had to take it off tho, hit a big pot hole and bent the bugger (it was a under engine one)

i got bilstein suspension, but alot of the locals here, say that a strut brace has helpped at occasions

i agree that if you doing track days with nice flat surfaces then you may improbe with teh strut brase i found that when i fitted my under engine brace that it reduced body roll considerably. and that was the problem, going round the cork screw you could feel the car bobbing and weaving trying to break traction, after i fitted it tho the front end was well stuck down and it was just the back that was breaking loose have had it come round on me a few times when conering hardas front would grip nicely but back would slide
