Im going to be making a website soon and im just wondering what programme is best to use. Ive thought about just using front page as the wizard on there basically does it for you but I want to try and make it look quite professional. Il do the logos and pictures etc in photoshop and import them into what ever I use.

Are there any better programmes which are easy to use?

when i made this:

i designed the page in Illustrator, saved the bits i wanted as .jpg. Opened in photoshop, and then ti Imageready, sliced it up and then built the page in Dreamweaver.

Pretty easy

I made this in Dreamweaver... Though for such a simple site I could have used anything really.

For a simple HTML site you can't go wrong with Frontpage. The only reason I stopped using it was because Dreamweaver was more powerfull when it came to producing dynamic stuff using databases e.t.c...

Front page is the perfect package for a basic site. You dont beed any html knowledge to start with but once you start to learn some html, such as meta tags etc, you can also edit the html via front page.

Front Page is a What You See Is What You Get editor. It's really simple to use, almost exactly the same as Word... Just have a go on that

Frontpage is so annoying to use Had to use it for one of my uni corse-works last year. Very limited to what you can do in there unless you start hand coding. Dreamweaver is good though
