you dont need to weld the bay, also how on earth do people get these diesel rads to fit, as the pipes are the oposite way around

Not really, i have seen many a nova and corsa that have started to crack e.t.c due to the shell being under increased stress levels without even seeing a rally stage or race track!

A Nova isn't as strong structurely as a Corsa though is it.

I wouldnt say the nova isnt as strong but the nova usually has more rott which effecta things, also the nova has 2 different shells, the gsi/gte/diesel have got double skinned inner wings which i would say arte as strong as a corsa, base model nova's are a bit weaker though.

Nova's are a completely different kettle of fish. Corsa chassis' are more than capable of coping with extra weight and torque/power.

I have only recently had a LET Conversion done, you will need the normal conversion stuff, eg Conversion kit, uprate breakes, suspension, exhaust etc
but if i was you i would rebuild as much as possible, the list is endless of what you could do but i would add this to you budget as if you dont you will just have loads of problems when first in!
i did quite alot with mine but it still was not enough!
