I've had a look through all the posts on here and had a good look about the net myself.

Looking at the canon 350-d kit.

I know I would have to buy lenses etc in the future but the kit lense would do me just now.

Any better buys?

Is there any news of for instance a newer one coming out in the near future that would either make a better buy or a drop in price of the 350d?

Anything else I should be looking at?

I started off not even wanting a camera lol.
Not too much preferably.
I found the 350d kit on jessops for 466 i think.
I'm not counting memory cards and batteries etc into the price atm unless they came in a brilliant deal.

I'll get memory cards etc seperately they're not a worry.
Whats this I read about canon releasing a new camera about every year and a half?
Would this not mean there should be one coming out within next couple of months?

I bought a 350d 4 months ago and love it, Canon won't release a replacement for it until at least next March.

They brought the 350d out at the start of 2005?
I take it a vivitar 70-210 I have from an SLR won't fit?
Just had a look and there are adapters for it.
