When you speak to a fren and they have a picture displaying, is there anyway of saving that pic without them knowing?

if you print screen it and cut it down a bit and were to set it as your display pic then there would be no difference, but if you were to save it as a normal picture it would be small

On trillian (i had to use it a while ago) it automatically saved people's icons, even sometimes when you weren't speaking to them.
Got a whole folder of shit.
