check scrappers pal, Im looking for an xe this weekend and an xev for my mate... If i come across a 1600 i'll post up. You bothered if its from an astra or dya specifically want a corsa Sport/gsi engine?

Wouldn't go for the astra. They have lower power.

astra engines with lower power look different they are xel engines different inlet manifolds on em

as for places for engine try west coast breakers

well i never knew they were down on power v's the X16xe... I knew they had a different inlet etc but didnt realise they were xel engines. I thought it was just a funky looking inlet lol. some lad on the forsale section is selling a gsi engine for £150
