Right click on your wallpaper, go Properties, then display. Then crank up the resolution and click "Apply" until you find the right one

look like your display adapter drivers are not installed. you probably only have the choice of 640 x 480 and 800 x 600 yes?

easiest way would be do system restore to last time it worked

Looks like its started in safe mode or your graphics card drivers have gone tits up? I'd download the latest drivers for your graphics card and that should sort out your problems
