Not really, i was lowered 40mm on Spax springs for over a year and my shockers were still fine when i took them off. I would'nt want to go any lower than that though.

Handling will be better, when i lowered mine my dad was impressed and thats not like him he doesnt like me messing with stuff like that. 40mm will just take the wobbliness away.

For a 30mm or 40mm drop the standard shocks are perfectly fine. Mine has been lowered for years and the shocks are still ok. The handling is fine too, I got a bit of an improvement as the suspension is a bit stiffer and the body is a little lower. Go for it!

the only thing i find with lowering springs is if you dont have shocks aswell the bumps are a hell of a lot worse when u go over them. Really didnt like that. Apart from that i love having them, find that the handling is better and more fun to drive the car.
