I did the mantzel route before the tb's.
wish I hadnt now, it cost the same in the end as a tb kit would have cost and the difference is huge. New inlets are good but its not a 'real' 150 bhp. pretty flat until 5500 rpm then u hit the limiter. Tb's give give power from 1000 rpm, dont have to wait for what seems ages for the power.
if you want a mildly tuned engine then a mantzel is ideal, but you will get bored of it pretty quickly.

port/polish and skim 'to death' the cylinder head
dblias inlet manifold with uprated/bigger injectors
lightened and balanced crankshaft/uprated pistons
full stainless steel exhaust system with induction kit.
or do wat everyone else does and drop in the good ol'redtop!
just a few questions,
1.why fit bigger injectors?
2. why fit uprated pistons?
not gonna benefit from them. anyway doing all that for just 130 bhp is a waste.
Because it's using forced induction

fit ARP rod bolts and SBD rollers and you can raise rev limit to 8k and have some real fun! its leaves the door open for future mods as well, balanced bottom end, pocketed pistons, wild cams...... and with the right money 220 bhp.
whats your engine sitting at ? and what have you done ?

This is the thing,
Everyone is saying tb's - now dont get me wrong they are awesome, but the charger (although a lot of work) has a couple of significant advantages....
1 - Road manors
2 - Torque
If you charge it it will have torque tb's could only dream of and that is the real downfall of having a small block engine
