Not just Corsas, my Astra suffers from the same problem! When I get "low" on petrol, I stick a tenner of fuel in, and the needle goes over the 1/2 way mark...

General driving the Corsa used the same amount of fuel as the Impreza - You can't get good economy driving to and from work!

But on a run I got 350miles in the Corsa. I can get about 130miles to a tank in Impreza at around 28mpg on a motorway.

if u look at a corsa petrol tank the top half is far bigger. hence if u stick a tenner in it it'll take it up just under half but then it takes another £30 to fill it!

so when u get down to half a tank uv actually used 2/3s!

i used to wonder the same thing....
