right, i want to put a series of short video clips on a dvd....
my laptop has a dvd writer, but i dont get on with the software, can i use media player to burn the clips on for me? then will it all work on a normal dvd player?
i think they are all mpeg files, no 3gp or any of that tat

no mate, you will have to convert them to be able to watch them on a normal dvd player...
you can use nero to do it.
The files need to be converted to dvd format 1st
In nero you can just input the files and it will convert them and burn them...quite a lengthy process though

but nero does it effectively and you can change settings etc....worth a try

yeah it takes long, i let mine do it overnight..why didn't it work?

erm.... well it took a few hours.... said it had converted the file and all was well etc.... tried it in the dvd player, just span fast as fook, took it out and look at bottom of disc, looked as if no data had copied

does your DVD player play copies?
Also did you try playing it on your PC at least to check?

mine sort of worked, but one of the clips was corrupt, so it cut off half way through
and it took about 3 hours
wont be doing it again

let it do it overnight and also change the settings to allow better encoding
