i'm trying to make a little picture up so i can have it as my mouse pointer.

when cut and paste the select picture and save it that all fine but when i open the picture in image preview it has a sqaure white back round.

how can i get the picture so it has no backround... GGRRR

i'm using corel paint shop pro...

save it as a .gif and set the background as the transparent colour.

You need to use an .ico editor to properly set up icons and pointers though - these sort transparency out too, but you can get by without if you know the dimensions and colour palets needed to get them ok.
