they are quick. my 1.6 could onl just keep up with my mums one when mu brother was driving.
a 1.4 sport would not keep up.... unless it was a 1.4 sport like mine.... with a 1.6 engine

Oh dear oh dear oh dear, my GSi used to get raped by my mates 1.8 16v SXi Astra and that was a heavier car with 125bhp I doubt a 1.4 16v would even be anywhere near it

He wanted something quicker than the zetec S and had to be below group 10 insurance and theres not a great deal of cars availible within that...
btw, do they do that same 1.8 engine in the astra sport? with 135 Bhp?

The later Astra G SRi's and Astra G SXi's 51 plate onwards had the Z18XE with 125bhp
Not 135bhp, 125bhp same as Corsa C SRi 1.8 16v
