Help with my ICE install,
I have just purchased 2x 12" JBL Subs, 1x JBL 600W GTO 4000 Amp, Set of JBL 6x9's & JBL Components, I have set it all up and I have the amp powering the 6x9's and the 2 subs bridged in paralel and the 2 6x9's on seprate channels, when the system is turned up the amp cuts out and my 6x9's and the sub cuts out ofr 2 seconds then after that it comes back on, I have tried turning the gain down and it doesn't sound that good but it stops it from cutting put, Any 1 got any ideas, I think I may be drawing too much power from the amp for the 6x9's and the subs, Just a guess though,
Any Help appreciated!!!!

Bin the 6x9's anyway.
Using them in the back and a sub is just a waste of money and will sound wose than just the sub.

you need to match the watts RMS of the subs and speakers with that amp. so if the amp is 50watts rms for each of the four channels (which i know it is) youre speakers should be around the same mark. Basically youve bought a low power amp. take it back, along with the 6x9s and get something that has the same wattage as your subs and components. amp up the components and subs and you will have a much better system and you will be satisfied with the volume too.

What if I was to amp up the 6x9's and the components off of the amp I have and And buy an amp to power the 2 subs and also a power cap, to keep the power flowing do you think that would work ok?

sounds like an alright idea if you must keep the 6x9s. I would possibly high pass them as theres no point in them playing bass, and have them faded so fronts are louder.
oh and you wont need a cap

Next question would be what size and kind of amp should I get for my subs,
I would have thought I would need a power cap or a new battery because my lights flash when the system is turned up as it is,
Bear in mind I I want to run the subs in paralell bridged mode so 1 output at 2 ohms I think is what I needs, Correct me if I am wrong please
It is x2 GT4 12" subs with an RMS Rating of 250Watts each.

For running the subs you really want a mono block amp if your staying with jbl some thing along these lines
http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=4132 (overkill)
or
http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=4134 (just right)
or
http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=4133 (under powered)
if your not fussed with staying with jbl and you can strech you budget

As for the power cap dont waste your money as thay have been proven not to work spl/streetbass systems spend you money on the big 3 and some decent Rca's instead
As your adding a second amp you will need to upgrade the cabling you will also need a fused dis block
If you want to learn about ICE have a good read of peoples post on forums like these....
