Im turning my corsa into a 2L project. Its a 1L 12v at the moment but im hoping to put either an 2.0 16v or a 2.0 turbo engine in it.
I know i will have to change the brakes, suspension etc.
But has anyone else got any tips or advice for me.
Thanks
Richard

isnt it a lot more work starting with the 12v?
may be cheaper to just buy one already done. how old are you?

Im only 18 so its a lond term project. Reason for starting with a 12v is because thats the car i have got and had since i past my test

you will need obviously the engine, box, loom and ecu. if it's a long term project you could have the engine rebuilt.
You will need the conversion kit. You can get the whole kit from a place like lmf which youll need:
Wheel hubs
Driveshafts
Engine mounts and gearbox spacer
Anti roll bar spacers if you keep it
Powercap to replace the sfi box
Or someone on mig web, can supply the mounts and gearbox spacer for cheaper price, and also a top hat to use instead of the powercap.
You'll need 2.0 inner and outer cv joints from your local motorfactors too.

Yeah there is loads of stiff regarding this all over the internet. Also do the conversion on the 1.4-1.6 sports as the ecu in the right place unless you are good a wiring
