I had a Metro GTI with that engine in, 103 BHP

Everyone always bangs on about head gasket this and that.

Ignore that, it's balls. My GTI got hammered everyday, and the only thing it ever needed was a service.

New MG's had everything to become a successful sporty brand. Still over shadowed by the Rover image but they did look pretty good!
