My PC is playing up, I have a shared internet connection to my brothers PC (his is the host)
The internet connection is working but my PC wont let me into most sites. I can get onto a few, but it comes up with 'this page cannot be displayed' on nearly all the sites I use 
Anyone know what the problem might be

Yip Ian his is OK I'm using his PC just now. Its weird I can get onto Falkirkcruise no problems, but it won't let me onto ANY other sites I use
Proxy - I'll speak to my brother about that, I haven't got a clue

Mine done this a few weeks back, as did Kerrys, sorted itself out in a while, strange.

It's still not working  I'm using my brother's pc atm, which isn't ideal! LOL
What do you mean by trying a proxy ?!? I'm not too clued up on these kind of things!

Make sure all of the DNS settings have been specified this may cause problems otherwise.

Had no joy with sorting out the pc!!
Just been and got a new laptop tho and it's working great!

try using Firefox if you are not already, IE has been really gay on my parents PC (host), yet mine is fine with Firefox

Try a reinstall of windows. Start a clean slate. It will probably fix it. Just takes abit of hassel.

Problem seems to have fixed itself
Its been switched of for a couple of days, put it back on this morning and its fine. Only problem being I've gone and bought a new lap top cos I thought it was fooked!!!

Like I say, same thing happened to me (and Kerry) and it just seems to sort itself out, I guess it must be a problem ISP side rather than at your end.
