is that a fair price from a garage considering i'm supplying the parts?

done it once and it leaked so gonna give it to a garage for some assurance.

£40 an hour tho lol

i've done it once, dunno what went wrong so gonna get a garage to do it.

did you go by the book, make sure everything was spotless, use gm headgasket?

Sounds like a bargain. But only if the head is being skimmed because it needs to if the gasket has gone...

it waqs skimmed the first time and a GM head gaket was used from autovaux.

and i used the haynes with torx and angle gauge info

are you 100% sure its the head gasket?

its difficult to get them wrong if you have followed the book! get some pics up of the leak, lets have a look.

the coolant piped behind the engine is where alot of the oil is as well, there kinda soaked, then the oil drips off the sump at the bottom.


yer just the gasket.

it's excluding the head kit and head skimmed as i have had that done.

are you sure that the block wasnt cracked between the oilway and atmosphere?

thats loads of oil! cant see it being the gasket, I would think theres a defect in the head or block.

the heads been pressure tested and skimmed so might be the block.

sounds a fair price. and as for £40 per hr, thats cheep! at work we are £70 per hr (mazda dealer!)
