was thinking of getting another corsa and have decided on the c, and i was wandering what the 1.4s were like, would be looking for a sxi in the next few months.
are there any problems i should be looking for on them
and whats the difference between a normal 1.4, and the 1.4 twinports?

Just got one myself and it shifts alright when you get the revs to 3500+ especially if its the twinport as normal running under 3500 revs the car uses 4 of its injection banks. Put your foot down and all 8 fire up and the car shifts

As for the drive, I got the sxi+ 1.4 twinport with the Irmscher gear on it. Very pleased with it, its a tad uncomfortable at first for tall drivers like myself but you get used to it

The new gearboxes apparently got rid of the half rubber half metal linkage and put a full metal one in. Had no problems with mine. Had a good look around the Vauxhall dealership when I got mine and couldn't find an SRi anywhere so I got the SXI+ tbh there ain't much difference in them once you sort the C out with a K&N Panel Filter. Gonna make my exhause a full straight centre pipe to
