it got to me an issue with your ECU, or something
maybe even something fueling related, or something left in your exhaust system etc

im hoping its the exhaust being full of shite from the last engine, as its nice blue smoke
as before, the engine runs 100% smooth, just smokes. cant get my head round it

JR has a point, if the engine was fine before will be something that you are using messing it up.

how about taking the system off and looking at what is exiting the manifold, or better still taking th manifold off, it will be loud, but atleat yout be able to look at what the engine is producing etc

does this make sense to anyone?
quote:
A very heavily over rich mixture will also cause this. Excessive petrol in the bores, oil 'washes' up past the rings from the sump, this is called petrol wash
might go and turn my FSE thingy down a bit, see if that makes a difference

i was under the impression that bore wash just sort of dissolved the oil, and made the engine wear because its not being lubricated
if it was stupidly over rich, it wouldnt start easily

My Astra started blue smoking when I connected my HT leads to the wrong spark plugs once. But I guess you have ruled this out anyway...

check your fuel, I had this when I was fitting my tb's, lots of smoke etc.. turned out to be contaminated with diesel (filled up a can with what I thought was petrol) and it was running very rich.
might not be the fuel pressure either, might be the throttles are closed too much and the TPS set too high. got it hooked up to a laptop to check it all?
