hi can anyone tell me if this a major problem ,driving along today car went sluggish exhaust emission light came on and stayed on,looked in hand book say,s take to vauxhall straight away only thing is just for them to look at it it cost,s a fourtune.can any garage fix this or as it got to be vauxhall thanx

a garage i used to use invested in his own Vauxhall testing machine and makes a mint off cut price examinations, just ask around?

been told it could be the lambda sensor,can anyone let me no if that is a possability thanx

They have a lambda light on some dashes, though I didn't think that they were wired in because that would require another lambda sensor after the cat...

Is it an orange light? There could be a thousand different things wrong, the lambda sensor could be one of them. Your best bet is to get the fault read by a Vauxhall dealer. It costs an hours labour, but in 99% of the cases it will lead you directly to the fault and is a lot cheaper thaty replacing sensors blind.
