the bumper is the last mod to be carried out on the bodywork. im only buying it because i want to make my car look abit more agressive but still want it to be subtle. rear bumper and skirts will stay as they are. then its just time to save up and get the new engine rebuilt. i was thinking about having it bored out to a 2.1 but i might just leave it as a 2.0 16v as its going to be about £500 cheeper as wont have to buy new pistons. it also meens i can get it built and running alot quicker. i need to get the bottom end balanced and then ill get the new gaskets on order and start the rebuilding process hoping that i can remember where everything went lol

what other specs are you going for besides considering the increase in engine capacity.
looking to do a bit myself but luckilg already have the engine bored to 2.1 capacity.
to be honest thinking now it really needs a decent engine management system and possibly bodies aswell.

i was looking into a 2.1 16v on throttle bodies running DTA management, fully lightened and balanced bottom end, fully flowed head, rally/race cams, solid followers and double valve springs, slightly raised C.R., vernier pullies, large valves inthe head, quaiff dif with f20 and a paddle clutch, arp rod bolts, arp stud head stud conversion.

that was my ideal spec but im looking at £5k+ for all of that. and as my car is more than quick enough atm (14.7sec 1/4 at pod) i might just build the new engine up to be a mildly tuned engine slightly more that the one in there atm (chipped ecu + enlarged tb) as i use my car for work everyday.

i might just go for fully flowed and balanced with some mild cams with matched inlet to head and run my enlarged tb for the time being untill i can afford some tb's

to be honest not sure what you think but the biggest trouble i have is getting the power down although been reliably told that the tran-x is worth going for over quaife.
same as you i have to use the car everyday.
althought throttle bodies are still damn tempting
