getting a new headunit with a USB slot and was looking at getting an ipod/mp3 player to plug into it and play music but not keen on the idea of taking it out everywhere with me. Then thought to myself can you plug your phone into the USB port and use that instead? Anyone tried it or see any reason why it wouldnt work?
cheers

I'm noy 100% sure either, it will depend on headunit, but that is most likely correct.

Ah ha I see what your saying, like the Sony Ericsson K800 as it uses as an example. Its has the USB mass storage recognition so in theory the headunit should recognise this and play the songs?!
