Last night was training, but we were a little short on numbers so we on occasion have a game with the other team which trains on the pitch next to us.

Good game really.

Anyway with the score at 1-0 to us, ball drops to me perfectly just outside the box, i hit it full bore, caught it perfect...........

Unlucky for the bloke that was standing right in the way, caught him full on in the face.......

So he hit the deck so i thumped the ball past the keeper in off the post and bar at the second time of asking, then checked to see if he was ok.......

Is this bad?

We won 3-1 in the end

doesn't matter, in the circumstances you provided, getting hit in the face with the ball can happen to anyone.

The fact you played is funny perhaps you should of stopped but who cares

I elbowed someone on Saturday, he was on the ground holding his eye and had to go off for a bit - nice shiner I think. He pushed me in the back though to win a header and I lost my balance (was an accident) I didn't say sorry or anything and don't feel guilty.

I think because it was only really a "kick about" that i played on and thumped it in. Turned round and remembered he was on the floor holding his face

I had a bad case of that yesterday, I was just outside the box slightly to the right of centre last night (5-a-side) and absoltuley lamped it with the outsdie of my right boot but no-one was expecting it and it hit one of my team mates in the side/back and went it but for some reason it really hurt him I still claimed it though

I have seen some nasty ball-2-face injuries in 5-a-side though even though we play head height one of my mates got hit in the face but it caught him perfectly in the eye he had to go to hospital several time as his eyes went all cloudy or something

The question that needs to be answered is should I attempt to play in goal tonight? It will have been 3 weeks on Thursday since I done it, doctor said 3 to 4 weeks before I can play again. I think I may leave it until Monday to play in goal.

Yes

Thanks

We have a cup game Monday, I would prefer to be 95% fit for that rather than risk doing myself in tonight and being 50% again.
