is anyone on plusnet here having problems? ?
we have an 8 meg line and atm its connected at 256k
this morning it was at 7.8mb then 128k now it 256k
ive tried restarting router manually and through the IP address. nothing..
my computer is the only one on at the moment.
any ideas?

Assuming it's a MaxDSL (and not an LLU - ie. PlusNet haven't connected you via their Tiscali LLU provider) line, that sounds like it could be a problem with your BRAS (can't remember what it stands for) profile with BT.
Call PlusNet (good luck getting through to a human), and ask them to check your profile...
If you're on LLU, then you're going through Tiscali, and well, there's the reason it's crap!

sounds like your flux capaciator nackard.
Ring plusnet and let them know that. they will send you a new one.
