you will hear the starter when you turn the key
if it just clicks, its either starter solenoid or flat battery...

have you checked the battery output voltage?
when you bump started it did you have the ignition on?
taken the starter motor off and tested it straight onto a 12v supply?

dont connect to a 12v supply untill u have taken it off the car.......
try tapping it first..then take it out and test it, if in doubt dont try..just take it to a garage

and2 hours tops to take starter out, check it & possibly refit new.

if the car dosent crankover, just clicks it will most probley be a flat battery (under 12.4volts) or a faulty solenide (new startermotor) why would you need codes reading if it dosen t even crankover!
