at my old work had a program for backing up my pc that when you stuck the re writable cd in you told it what to copy and it scanned the cd and said 500 files found 5 new and 5 updated.

It then only copied the new stuff rather than the whole lot which takes ages


anyone any idea what programs do this and can i get them on the net?

Nero back it up will probably do it
