Author ID3 Tags in iTunes?

I just converted all my tracks to have ID3 tags not knowing that it would cut the end off any albumn that had more than 30 characters

Anyone know a way of reversing this? Did a System Restore but no luck

Removed loads of my albumn art too!!!

Going to take hours to fix it!!!

iTunes is one of the worst pieces of software I have ever used.
I had to delete at least 10 gig of albums after I let itunes loose on them.
