i have mostly snapon but stuff i dont use on a regular basis i get halford but items like ratchet, ratchet spanners etc there is no comparison,

I agree that snap-on are the best tools available but what I bought today would have cost about 7x the price.

make a false invoice or letterhead. was told today that they are tightening the rules though and all companies must have a vat registration number to get a trade card.
That would be a tricky one as it would discrimnate against small traders who decide against registering for VAT or who are below the threshold!!

well, find me a company in the motor industry that has an annual turnover less than £60k

99% of companies that supply to the trade want a vat registration number for a trade account

no, I was a mechanic at ford, did an apprenticeship with them, also qualified as an auto electrican. but my main job for the last 5 years has been as a Conservatory Designer and sales rep.

i have halfords pro tools too, spent to much on it really as i dont use it much now, snap on is good, maily due to the ease of gettin it and the payment methods

halfords are changing the people that make there tools to a company called phase. i think there tools are descent apart from sockets which i keep splitting

yes they have a new range called Halfords LE range that is being made by a new company. they look decent but not as good as the pro stuff.

wouldn entertain the idea of buying any halfords tools. its snap on for me. most of my stuff is snap on r draper at the least for some stuff i seldom use. working with them everyday ull soon see the diff. mate at work has a rachet spanner haldords et tho and i must say i like it. very gd in that u dont need to turn it much to move the rachet if u get me
