try another ecu and chip? once again I know robhayes has these readily available and I dare say theyd be cheap as chips...I thought I had an ECU problem on my old SXi so I tried refitting another one,and the tacho bounced all over the dials and EM light flicked on loads and it failed to start...I reckon you may have a rogue earth, sweat it out and see how u go, just trial and error

Turned out to be a broken earth wire. Got it going and now the oil pump is fucked!! Changed the oil preassure switch, oil filter, oil. And had a pressure gauge to check it. Its only getting 3 psi of oil pressure on ilde. Im due to give up

dude ur v near to getting it alive dont give up! its gutting when the car isnt mobile..I had my shell sitting for ages due to unforeseen circumstances but still got it done and was worth it!

mate, take the bus to work on monday, and order a new oil pump and be patient. So worth it mate, my car was off the road for almost a year while I totally rebuilt it, and it was definitely worth the wait! A little off topic but I think your old sport seats looked much better!
