Ah the infamous double roundabout. It's usually infested with learner drivers too making it 100x more unsafe than normal.

My driving instructor told me to never indicate as it confuses other motorists

this is what I meant in point 3:

the red car is the idiot, the blue car is me. we both want to be leaving on exit 3. problem arises when the red car goes all the way round the roundabout in the middle lane up to the traffic lights which leaves me stranded in the lane nearest the roundabout.

what he should do is move over to the outermost lane at the traffic lights after he passes exit 2.

I had something like point 3 happen to me about a month ago. I was driving round a roundabout in exeter, didnt know the area too well so i was just following the road signs. When i was coming up to the exit i wanted on the roundabout, lanes 1 and 2 both exited off onto the exit i wanted while lane 3 continued round the roundabout (this was exactly what the signs on the road stated).

I was sitting in lane 2 and there was a car in lane 1 about half of a car length in front of me. Just before the exit the car in lane 1 decides not to exit and continues round the roundabout as im driving directly at the side of them as im exiting the roundabout as im entitled to do. Its a good job i didnt know the area and was only doing 20mph, because if i would have been going any faster there wouldnt have been anything i could have done to stop.

I drifted my car round a roundabout at Clifton Moor, my Dad had a brown trouser moment. Of course its 4WD so its not really a 'proper' drift.

* Flame suit will be unzipped for the next 10-15 minutes if you want to give me a good talking down to *
