im thinkng of refurbing my alloys soon, and wanted to know how i should do it.
ive refurbed a set in the past and they came out realy good. sanded them down, primered, paint then laquer. unfortunatly, i sold the wheels on before even putting them onto my car.

how does the paint last for every day driving? will it flake? crack?

or there is the more expensive option of powdercoating.

what are peoples opinions here?

It's usually around £25 per wheel.

i did mine ~5 months ago, still looking good, no flake or crack. cost ~£50 in materials and all the work, so better just pay £90 for the 4 to get powder coated and this shall be done this week would look better and last longer

I've painted mine, cost me £40 or so in materials and they look brand new, now got mates coming asking me to do theirs so pays off doing your own work

Just make sure you don't skimp or rush anything !
