hey everyone, i'm new - aint had a chance to post up pics n that so far but will get around to it soon.

anyways, first questions i have is...

recently the bulbs behind my heater controls went off, thinkin they had blown i simply took the dash apart and replaced the bulbs with led 286 bulbs and still nothing...hav checked all the fuses and they seem fine...both the mfd and speedo lights work fine but both the heater control and ash tray illumination are just now workin...i also replaced the rear demister light switch with the bulb tree attached to it and still nothin

help please

Do you have a multimeter to do a few tests to make sure that all the connections are functioning?

have you got the leds the correct way around?

Oh shit, didn't read the LED bit. I'm guessing your LED's will be the wrong way round, or one of them might be causing the whole curcuit to go.

well after the led incident i went to the scrappies n picked up a new demister button and bulb tree, none of the bulbs were blown - i replaced the one in my car with this and it didnt work either...

oddly enough when i bought the car they were all working, then one bulb went, then a month or so later the rest went

the polarity's gonna be wrong

the LEDs there are polarity sensitive, just turn them round

Check your fuses too mate, I've had it a few times where something irritating in the car has been cured by replacing a blown fuse.

my heater control dash bit has also lost it illumination ?
