every time i go over a slope or raise in road slowly forwards or in reverse e.g drive way

my ABS light comes on!!!
if i restart the engine it turns of????

any ideas guys??

i checked it last week and it was max!

i have noticed the ABS light seems to come on during cold weathet! or just a coincidence???

well i had the front two wheel bearings done! so u think they will be ok??

and that it could be the rears??

could be any of them. mine did that flickering on and off for a while then it went altogether one day when I was approaching a que of traffic! pedal went funny and started juddering, braking was shit and stopped about 3 inches from the car infront in a cloud of tyre smoke.

not fun.

I have since removed the ABS system completely. if I were you I would remove the fuse just incase. if id does decide to go under braking it could be nasty.

its weird though, only comes on when i go over a slope!!

probably worth cleaning the rear drusm then as they easy to take of, is the sensor easily located inside the drums? and what should i use to clean??

the drums and shoes themselfs have not been changed in donkey years, ive had the car for 5 years!! so could this also affect it??

ok well ive found out its the front abs sensors that cause it!!!
i was parked up, and suddenly turned the wheel fast and the light came on!

weird thing is it only really comes on in the cold??
