just got this letter
dear mr chan,
we need to let you know that the usage on yout broadband account is well above 50gb per month, which in breach of our fair use policy (please visit www.orange.co.uk/terms to see the policy).
your average usage between august 2006 and september 2006 has been 63.19gb a month. this heavily affects the performance of our other broadband customers using the internet.
you need to significantly reduce your usage immediately or we'l have no option but to close your account.
payin £30 a month anyways at 512kb/unlimited downloads
need to change anyways whats good out there?

Nildram do 8
b for 25 and thats a 50Gb cap (peak times) so anything you download from 12am-8am is not included and it rolls over to the next month if you dont use 50gb.

All 'unlimited' services do actually have a limit of around 50gb where they start to query you about it. Hidden in small print in terms and conditions
Not aware of a service which doesn't have this....

I nearly got banned from Tiscali for downloading 147Gb in one month on 2mb "Unlimited" I said I will be cutting down, and they said it was ok.

Not quite true. Virtually all terms and conditions don't actually state a figure which means its open to interpretation. If they don't like you they can cut you off.
Its much easier now to argue that its easy to have a higher download rate with things like Sky by Broadband, iTunes, Online Radio etc
Bulldog don't enforce any sort of limitation. I have done 56GB in a day and that month must have done almost 250GB. I know others who have done more without any issues.
