Right im ready to rip the dash out of the Corsa,
Only problem is what so i do about the matrix? Is it easy to remove and reroute the water cooling route within the engine bay?
Does anything else need to be plugged apart from the holes in the bulkhead?

It's easy to remove.
undo the piped from the bulkhead (engine side), pull the heater out, then join the 2 pipes in the engine bay together, so the water still circulates.
under the scuttle panel is the Aircon stuff, and the heater fans, which you'll want out too I presume?
when are you doing it?

It's easy, just takes a lot of time, the dash is held in surprisingly well
oh, the dash won't come out without a hacksaw if the steering wheel is still in
just keep at it, it'll take a while, but as long as the a/c is drained, and you just keep going, you'll get it done in a day.

Teddy - did you take the Matrix out in the end?
Would be interested in buying it off you if it's a non air-con one (not going a second winter with barely warm heaters!)

And how do you clear the windows if you pulled all that out?
