I've got mine connected to my Pioneer HU via a Pioneer CD-IB100
Most companys do them now for their own brand of HU.
Works well as everything is controlled as normal from the HU.
Can also get aftermarket wireless transmitter types but these work from the ipod a tad fiddly etc while driving.

If I had an iPod I would use the mobile computer fitted in my new car and connect it using the USB socket in the glove box

I'll be buying an IB100 very soon.
If you have the standard S2K headunit, have a look at the Denison Ice>Link Plus, which comes in a Honda variant.

I have the old Pioneer Dolphin head unit (the slightly newer one with the F1 cars aswell)
IS this to old to control it through the HU?

They usually work through the CD changer interface which is fairly standardised. But it would be a good idea to check the model number out for compatibility...

If the Pioneer HU has a socket in the back of it, I think its called the IP-Bus, for CD changers and the like, then you should be able to use the Pioneer iPod connector.
I use it in mine think its pretty good. Easy enough to operate from the head unit.

Whats the code/ model number for this!
I'm using mine on the DEH-77MP about the same age as yours I think but as said its the ip bus connector on the back you need to look for.
If you have that it will work, I got told works on every model with a "P" in!
hope this helps
As for your last question, I'm sure you have to use itunes.
My nano doesn't show up as a removable drive like cheaper MP3 players etc etc.
Itunes is so easy to use though so worth downloading.

Not use iTunes on an iPod, NO CHANCE! If you want to be able to drag and drop then you need to get yourself a Creative Zen Vision:M, Same price as the iPod video 30 GB...

Also, it is plug and play, you can use it as a portable HDD too if needed.

Yea, you can get one of those tape things that they used to make so you could plug your Discman into your car. No idea what they were called though...

I just bought one today, I'm impressed. Just need to wait for the damn battery to charge though I think the reason why they are better is Creative spent thier money on the product and not the advertising campaign The one drawback I see is as they are less popular than the iPod you don't get all the in car accessories. Not sure how you can connect them neatly to a car stereo. Shame

Ed, what headunit do you have?
As if both you and Nismo have changer inputs on the back of the headunit, you can get an aux in adaptor for anything with a headphone socket.
I have got one of these for my iPod, as I didn't see the point in paying more for full control if I only ever just play a full playlist in car anyway.

Just an std one in the Corsa, but I'm collecting a Punto with Blue&Me in 3 weeks or so which has a USB plug in the glove box for MP3 players which runs off of Windows Mobile so I don't need an interface. I did it with aux in on my other Corsa though and it did the job fine

just use a aux in cable from the headphone jack into any aux in.
Looking at the Zen M spec you can just drag and drop as its usb plug and play and the formats it plays and the tv out!
