is it me or does anyone else get the feeling cars are like black holes for money? just as everything was going quite well WATER PUMP is on it way out ! great all i want to do is drive my car untill it sells. one call to autovaux and £101 skinter i should receive my new water pump and timing kit on monday...but that means no car for two days = no work tommorow = - £ 70 and bored as feck at home cars cars cars SO CLOSE TO GIVING THEM UP

I know how you feel when i bought my corsa and started modding it it felt like i was gettin closer to finishing it then sumthing else buggered up!

Did you not replace it??
I paid £180 for Cambelt kit, Water pump and oil/filter and coolent change.

when lee m fitted the engine it was on 45k and looked like it had been done ie wasnt gm parts anymore? so better to be safe than sorry!

headgasket went, did that along with waterpump and this and that.
Think i fucked the rings when the headgasket went, so had to take it all apart again to do the rings, another headgasket, valve stem seals etc etc. Cost me over £800 all in all..
